In the fifth episode of the NL Young Farmers Podcast, we speak with Alexis Fudge from Mountain View Farm in Wooddale, a tight-knit farming community in central Newfoundland and Labrador. Currently enrolled in the Agriculture Technician Program at College of the North Atlantic in Corner Brook, Alexis is passionate about food security and the future of agriculture in the province.
In the fourth episode of the NL Young Farmers Podcast, Amanda Cull from Amuk Farm in Bonavista discusses her journey in agriculture and her passion for sheep farming and sustainable agriculture. Originally from Labrador, Amanda moved to Bonavista about 12 years ago to pursue her dream of farming. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Amanda is always planning for the future and thankful for the agriculture mentors and friends she made along the way.
In the third episode of the NL Young Farmers Podcast, Cassandra Curtis from Three Rivers Ranch in Cormack discusses her journey in agriculture and passion for beef cattle farming. Three Rivers Ranch is now home to over 50 beef cattle, with many more to come in the future. Cassandra is proud to provide her community with fresh, local, high-quality beef and looks forward to continuing to grow her farm for years to come.
In the second episode of the NL Young Farmers Podcast, Mackenzie and Genevieve Warford from Papa's Farm discuss their journey in agriculture and passion for hydroponics. Based near the town of Springdale, Papa's Farm grows romaine lettuce with hydroponic methods. Mackenzie and Genevieve work hard to grow their farm and create a more sustainable future for their children and future generations of Newfoundland and Labrador.
In the first episode of the NL Young Farmers podcast, Anja Sajovic and Tavish Russell from Farm on Forest discuss their journey in agriculture. Based in St. John's, NL, Farm on Forest is a small-scale vegetable and flower farm that grows a diverse selection of vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers on a 1/2-acre plot at the historic Mount Scio Savoury Farm. As of 2025, Anja and Tavish are the proud new owners of a 7.5-acre farm in Goulds, NL.
